This vanilla creme brulee with fresh fruit has a creamy silky custard with a crunchy caramelized sugar crust.


Heavy Whipping Cream Egg Yolks Granulated Sugar Vanilla Extract Kosher Salt

Heat the cream in a medium-sized sauce pan. Remove from the heat and stir in the vanilla.

Whisk the egg yolks, sugar, and salt together until smooth and the egg yolks start to lighten in color.

Continuously whisk the yolks while you slowly pour in the warm cream.

Pour the custard into ramekins on a towel-lined baking sheet. Pour water into the baking sheet to create a water bath.

Bake the custard for 20 to 30 minutes depending upon the size and shape of your ramekins. Cool and refrigerate for four hours.

Sprinkle the top with sugar and brulee with a kitchen torch.
